Step #1 – Determine whether your wig needs to be washed or not?

So use a sulfate, paraben and silicon shampoo for your wigs as these wigs don’t have alive cells to regenerate themselves. Wash the wig with the shampoo and make sure that you follow these tips:

• Don’t rub the scalp too hard as it might lose the knots of the hair.
• Don’t be too aggressive on the hair as it might damage them.
• Rinse with room temperature water thoroughly.

•  Don’t put the condition on the roots of the wigs as it might loosen the knots.
• Leave it for 3-5 mins, not more than that as it might leave a residue and weigh the hair down.
• Make sure to rinse the hair thoroughly.

Drying the hair is where most people damage the hair most! As they sometimes rub it with a towel too hard and sometimes use harsh products etc. So here are some tips that you should follow to make sure that your hair looks brand new once they dry.

• Air-dry the hair. Never use a blow dryer to dry the hair! The main goal is to reduce the heat damaged as much as we can.
• Don’t rub the hair with the towel to get the excess water out rather just pat dry the hair with either a microfiber towel or you can also use the old cotton T-shirt as they are more sensitive and also soaks in water.
